Is my firearm data private?
Yes. Serial numbers are optional — we don't require them. If you do choose to enter a serial number, it is encrypted at rest using AES-256 before being stored. Only you can see your collection. Gunfolio staff cannot read your serial numbers, and your data is never shared with or sold to third parties.
How do market prices get updated?
Prices are pulled daily from Armslist, GunBroker, and gun.deals. Each update calculates the average, minimum, maximum, and median listing price per firearm model so you're seeing real market data — not a single estimate.
Is Gunfolio legal to use?
Yes. Gunfolio is a personal collection tracking tool. It doesn't facilitate any transfers, purchases, or sales. Recording your own lawfully-owned firearms for inventory and insurance purposes is entirely legal in all 50 states.
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan lets you track your full collection of firearms, ammunition, and magazines with real-time market values, a portfolio dashboard, and up to 90 days of portfolio history. Premium unlocks extended history (1 year, 5 years, all-time), advanced analytics, and priority support.
Can I export my data?
CSV export is on the roadmap and coming soon. In the meantime, contact support and we'll prepare a manual export for your account within 2 business days.
How do I delete my account?
Submit a support ticket below with the subject 'Account Deletion' and your registered email address. We'll permanently delete your account and all associated data within 5 business days and send a confirmation.
Is there a mobile app?
Gunfolio is a fully mobile-optimized web app — open it in any browser on your phone and it works just like a native app. A dedicated iOS and Android app is on the roadmap.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Go to Settings → Billing inside the app and click 'Manage Subscription'. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel, change your plan, or update your payment method. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period.
My firearm's market price looks wrong. What do I do?
Market prices come from active listings, so prices can vary significantly based on region, condition, and availability. If a price seems off, you can override it by setting a custom market value on the firearm's detail page. Report persistent data issues via the ticket form below.
Are accessories like suppressors or optics tracked?
Not yet. Currently Gunfolio tracks firearms, ammunition, and magazines. Accessories, optics, and suppressors are on the feature request list — vote for them or request them using the ticket form below.
